Semaphorin 3B (SEMA 3B) associated Membranous nephropathy is a distinct type of glomerular disease seen predominantly in pediatric patients with disease onset at <2 years of age. Although PLA2R, THSD7A & NELL-1 account for 80% of target antigens, the remaining 20% of cases are negative for these antigens. In a small proportion of such cases, SEMA 3B has been identified and constitutes a totally new subset of MGN. |
