| Usage: |
Hypogonadism (testosterone deficiency) in adult men is a clinical and biochemical syndrome associated with a low level of testosterone, which may adversely affect multiple organ functions and quality of life. Measurement of gonadotropins (LH & FSH) along with testosterone helps to differentiate between primary or secondary causes of Hypogonadism. In the past, decreasing testosterone levels were viewed as a normal part of the aging process. Now, however, these decreases when accompanied by symptoms of decreased libido, sexual dysfunction, decreased energy levels, decreased muscle mass, etc. are regarded as late-onset hypogonadism (Testosterone deficiency syndrome). |
