| Usage: |
Glucose normally suppresses human growth hormone (HGH). Individuals with Acromegaly (excess of hGH) show no decrease or a paradoxical increase in hGH level after being given glucose. Normal individuals show hGH levels to fall after glucose administration. After successful treatment of Acromegaly, a normal response to glucose treatment is observed, although growth hormone may not fall to normal levels. |
