| Usage: |
This assay is a formal evaluation of peritoneal membrane characteristics that measures the transfer rate of creatinine & glucose across the peritoneal membrane. Patients are classified as low, low-average, high-average, and high transporters. CCPD exchanges are performed in an automated fashion that runs a series of cycles while the patient sleeps. This test helps in careful tracking of solute clearances to ensure dialysis adequacy. |
