| Usage: |
Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi and is transmitted by ticks. This assay is useful for confirmation of active Lyme disease, monitoring treatment & diagnosing Lyme arthritis. PCR test is especially useful in the first 2-4 weeks after onset of symptoms as during this period serology may not be positive. |
