| Usage: |
Non-invasive tests that suggest advanced liver fibrosis include mild elevation of bilirubin, prolongation of prothrombin time, a slight decrease in serum albumin, and mild thrombocytopenia. Combinations of these blood tests have been used to create models for predicting advanced liver disease. However, the confirmatory test is a liver biopsy. |
