CD64 is expressed by monocytes & intermediate neutrophil precursors. It is mainly used to differentiate Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) from other Acute myeloid leukemias (AMLs). APL is an aggressive disease and early diagnosis & treatment can significantly reduce the overall mortality rate. |
