| Usage: |
In prostate biopsies, immunomarkers that facilitate a diagnosis of carcinoma in a small focus of atypical glands are of great utility. AMACR & p63 offer great help in ensuring the absence of a basal layer combined with positive AMACR labeling in such small foci. This panel is especially useful in distinguishing a small focus of prostate carcinoma adjacent to a high-grade PIN lesion from glandular outpouchings of a PIN lesion. |
