Usage: Human Herpesvirus-8 (HHV-8) is also called Kaposi Sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV). This virus causes Kaposi sarcoma and B-cell lymphoproliferative diseases like Primary effusion lymphoma & Multicentric Castleman disease. The likelihood of HHV-8 associated malignancies is significantly higher in individuals with HIV.
