FSH receptors are well known to be expressed in gonads & gonadal tumors. Fresh evidence has shown their expression in endocrine non-gonadal tumors of adrenal gland & pituitary tumors. Some studies have also detected FSH receptors in the endothelium of intra-tumoral & peri-tumoral blood vessels of neuroendocrine tumors which correlates with enhanced tumor growth. |
