This test is used as a Pan T cell marker. CD2 stains all T lymphocytes & Natural killer cells. Aberrant loss of expression may occur in T cell lymphomas which may help to distinguish them from reactive T cell proliferation. It is also used to diagnose Systemic Mastocytosis and Mastocytic leukemia. |
