Usage: Androgen receptor (AR) is increasingly being recognized as a potential biomarker for identifying a subset of patients with hormonally driven triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Those patients with breast cancer who are negative for ER, PR & Her-2 but are positive for AR show a good clinical response to Enzalutamide. Thus AR immunohistochemistry can be used as a companion diagnostic to predict response to Enzalutamide.
