| Usage: |
ROS1 gene on chromosome 6q22 can undergo fusion or rearrangement which causes uncontrolled cell growth & cancer. This is seen in 1-2% of cases of Lung Adenocarcinomas (NSCLC) and these patients tend to be younger with no history of smoking. This is a similar clinical pattern as seen in lung cancer patients with ALK rearrangements. ROS1 specific kinase inhibitors like Crizotinib therapy are beneficial in this group of patients. |
