Chromosome 13q long arm deletion is observed in patients with Multiple Myeloma and is associated with a worse prognosis. Deletion 13q can also be found in a number of mature B-cell lymphoid neoplasms, particularly Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and also Splenic marginal zone lymphoma & Mantle cell lymphoma. It is rarely seen in Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). |
