Bullous autoimmune dermatoses belong to organ-specific autoimmune diseases. They are characterized by the formation of autoantibodies against structural proteins of the skin. In Pemphigus disease the blisters are formed intraepidermal whereas in Bullous autoimmune dermatoses they occur subepidermal. Thus this assay helps in further differentiation of blistering diseases of the skin. |
