| Usage: | ADRB2 (Beta2 Adrenergic receptor) gene has several allelic variants. Genotype-related differences in ADRB2 receptor density are associated with cardiac function. It also influences the risk of nocturnal ventilation in patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). The presence of the Gly16 variant of ADRB2 is associated with greater respiratory muscle strength in DMD. Codons 16 and 27 of the ADRB2 gene have shown clinical and pharmacological implications in asthma, hypertension, ischemic heart failure, diabetes, obesity, and cystic fibrosis. | ||||||
